This is the website's policy. It is short because the site does very little.

This is the complete privacy picture for the Cover Letter Creator website and app. It is short because there is not much to tell: your text is used to write your letter, and for nothing else.

This website

The site runs no analytics, sets no cookies, and loads nothing from third parties — no trackers, no ad scripts, no fonts or images from other domains. There is no account system and no email capture anywhere on it. Every page works the same whether you have visited once or a hundred times, because nothing about you is recorded.

Template mode

The letter builder on the home page and the tool pages runs entirely in your browser. What you type into it — your name, the company, your experience — stays on your machine. Building, previewing, copying, downloading, and printing your letter involve no network requests at all.

AI generation on the site

The one exception is the "Write with real AI" button, and it only acts when you press it. The fields you typed, plus your tone, length, and document-type choices, are then sent over HTTPS to our server, which passes them to OpenAI to write the letter and streams the text back to your browser. That text is used to generate your letter and is not stored beyond processing the request.

To keep the free daily AI budget from being abused, the server keeps a small counter of how many generations each connection (IP address) has used that day. These counters exist only in the server's memory, are never written to a database or disk, and expire on their own.

The Cover Letter Creator app

The app follows the same rules. Your saved profile and your letter history are stored on your device — there is no account, and no cloud copy is held by us. Generating a letter requires an internet connection because the writing happens on our server, which treats the app's requests exactly as it treats the website's: text in, letter out, nothing kept beyond processing.
